Bulbs and tubers

Gardening using flower bulbs means minimal effort with maximum yield. All you need is a few bulbs and some soil to plant them in – perhaps in a pot on the balcony or the flowerbed? Then all you have to do is wait for the flowers! Enjoy snowdrops, crocuses, tulips, daffodils and alliums in spring and lilies, gladioli and dahlias in summer and throughout the autumn. In winter, you can extend the flowering season indoors with amaryllis, hyacinths and paperwhites.

Many of the spring-flowering bulbs return year after year, and those that flower in summer and autumn can either be left in place or dug up for winter storage.

For bulbs that are particularly sensitive to cold snaps at the beginning of the season, we also have heat-treated bulbs. You can plant onion sets in autumn or spring – choose the time that suits you best.
