Spring bulbs

With the return of the warm spring light, it’s not only time to sow seeds, but also time to start exploring bulbs, tubers and root crops to put in the ground. Spring bulbs are always planted in the spring, the earlier they are planted, the earlier they flower. And it usually pays to pre-sprout your spring bulbs indoors, whether you intend to grow them in a pot or a flowerbed.
Dahlias, gladioli and lilies are stunning with their colourful display – from mid-summer to the frosty nights of autumn. Most varieties can be overwintered, either outdoors or by digging up and storing the tuber in a cool place.
