A mix of lacy phacelia, crimson clover and buckwheat. Lacy phacelia has a lush green mass and strong taproot that breaks up the soil, crimson clover is a nitrogen-fixing plant and buckwheat has a very good ground-covering ability. When sown early, flowering takes place from July to September. Stop the seeds from self-sowing by digging in before flowering. Can also be sown at the end of July-August, to prevent the soil from becoming bare and leaching nutrients. The plant is then broken down in autumn or early spring.
