Extra-early summer carrot with a delicate flavour. Can also be grown in greenhouses or hotbeds. Harvest early and eat fresh. Can be parboiled and frozen, not suitable for winter storage. Sow in batches. Prefers stone-free, humus-rich and well-drained soil. Water in dry periods. Thin out and weed when the plant is small.

Sow early, as soon as the soil can be used. Level soil, water before sowing. Keep seeds moist. Sprouting time 2-4 wks. Cover with fibre cloth after sowing for faster sprouting and to prevent insect infestations. Leave the fibre cloth on until harvesting.
