A very useful root vegetable. Tasty in stews, gratins and stir-fries. Highly nutritious. Harvest approx. 3 months after sowing. Swedes for winter storage are sown late and harvested in October. Prefers a well-drained soil that retains moisture. Water regularly. Thin out early so the plants aren’t crowded. Fibre cloth protects against insects. Sow in cycles for a longer harvest period.
