This aubergine variety produces shiny, oblong, purple fruits with an excellent taste that is not as bitter as other varieties might be. The Moneymaker No.2 F1 aubergine variety matures early and provides you with an abundant harvest. It is also more tolerant to cooler temperatures than other varieties. Aubergine, or eggplant, can be enjoyed in many ways; use it in vegetable dishes, moussaka, or barbecued.

Aubergine is a heat-demanding plant that is best grown in a greenhouse or polytunnel. It can also be grown outdoors in sunny sheltered areas, but then it will provide a later and smaller crop. It is best grown in nutrient-rich, well-drained soil and it needs regular watering as well as fertilising. Harvest the fruits gradually.
