An unusual and delicate chive variety. The growth habit is the same but the flavour is a little spicier with a distinct garlic aroma. The fresh leaves are used in salads, sauces and many dishes. Sowing in autumn can lead to earlier germination in spring. Prefers humus-rich chalky soils, preferably loamy soils, but will grow in all soil types. Cover the plant to ensure safe overwintering, especially when sowing in autumn.
