Pak Choi is a delicious leafy vegetable with sturdy stalks. Tender leaves can be used as baby leaves in salads. Larger leaves are good stir-fried, why not try it with garlic and ginger? Prefers loamy, humus-rich and well-fertilised soils, water in dry periods.

Sow in damp seed compost at 22°C, keep moist. After sprouting, place in a bright, cool area. Transplant when plants can be handled, 1/pot of fertilised soil. Harden off before transplanting.
