Biochar is a carbon sink, i.e. it captures carbon instead of releasing it into the atmosphere. Biochar gives the soil structure and porosity so it retains water and air. The carbon captures and retains nutrients, and provides an optimal environment for Biohumus’ soil bacteria and fungi. It also reduces nutrient and pathogen leaching into lakes and waterways.

Cultivation instructions
Biohumus Terra is gentle on plant roots and improves soil outdoors and in greenhouses. Biohumus Terra provides micro-organisms and carbon, and can be used for perennials, planting shrubs and trees, growing vegetables, herbs and summer flowers in flower beds, pallet collars or larger pots and urns.
When planting a shrub or tree, mix a bucket of Biohumus Terra with the existing soil.
When planting in larger pots and urns, mix one bucket of Biohumus Terra with 50 litres of soil.
When improving the soil in flower beds and pallet collars, mix in one bucket of Biohumus Terra per 2 square metres.
