Mild, tasty onion that’s good raw in salads and other dishes. Forms elongated bulbs that grow singly. Gets pink skin, but white flesh. Prefers humus-rich and preferably chalky soils. Water in dry periods for a better harvest. Cover with a fibre cloth to protect from onion flies. Change planting site yearly.

Pre-cultivation instructions
Sow sparsely in damp seed compost at 20°C. After sprouting, place in a bright, cool area. Give fertiliser sparingly. Can be transplanted to 1 plant/pot of fertilised soil. Harden off and transplant outside after the last frost.

Level soil, water before sowing. Keep seeds moist until they germinate.
