Zucchini can also be referred to as courgette or squash, and is a versatile vegetable that can be eaten raw or cooked in many dishes. This zucchini variety, Diamant F1, is easy-to-grow and has a beautiful green colour with large, decorative leaves that smother weed easily. The plant prefers warm and sunny environments in humus-rich, well-fertilized and well-drained soil.

Pre-cultivate the plant for 3-4 weeks before replanting it outside once the temperature has risen. Start by sowing one seed per pot in fertilized soil and place it in a warm area (18-24°C) for sprouting. After a couple of weeks it is time to replant it in a bigger pot and place it in a bright and sunny area for it to grow and give you tasty zucchinis.

You can sow your seeds outdoors right away without pre-sowing them indoors. This can only be done if the soil has reached a temperature of minimum 15°C. Make sure to water the soil before sowing to keep the seeds moist. For best results, cover the pot with a fibre cloth until the plant starts to flower.
