Perennial herb. Thin leaves with a wonderful aroma and mild onion flavour. Produces round purple flowers that can be dried. Harvest the leaves gradually, use fresh in salads, sauces or as a garnish. Cut and freeze for winter use. The flowers are edible and very beautiful to decorate with. Prefers humus-rich chalky soils, preferably loamy soils, but will grow in all soil types.
