Snow Pea / Mangetout, tall

An ancient variety that blooms beautifully with large flowers. The pods are relatively large, thick-walled and with a wonderfully sweet taste. Eat the pods whole, raw or lightly cooked. Harvest before the pods become rounded. Sow in cycles for a longer harvest period. Thrives in humus-rich, well-drained soil. Water regularly. Support the plants. Change the location of the peas in the vegetable patch every year. they fertilise the soil.
